Research Notes on Global AIDs Program Approved
The House voted yesterday to expand the global AIDS/HIV program by $50 billion. Forty million people worldwide are believed to be HIV positive and 20 million have died from the AIDs epidemic. Thanks to the global AIDs initiative, over 30 million people have been tested, and 1.4 million have received antiretroviral medications.
