In Chinese Medicine ginseng is most commonly used as a general tonic, implying that ginseng is helpful in counteracting stress, both physical and mental. Some studies have shown that ginseng standardized extracts can actually help people react more quickly to both visual and auditory cues; it increases concentration, and improves eye coordination. Ginseng may help perk up mood and enhance a person’s sense of well-being.
