Research Notes on Ginseng and Hypertension
Ginseng has actually been shown to lower blood pressure at normal dosages (3-4 grams per day). Very large doses (30 grams or more per day) however, can raise blood pressure dramatically. It is used in China to treat sudden drops of blood pressure. This should not prevent anyone from using ginseng at normal doses.
