Research Notes on Getting Started on Seroquel XR
When starting on Seroquel XR (quetiapine), it is important to take it as directed by your physician. You should let your health care provider know about any medications you are currently taking before starting Seroquel XR. Seroquel XR (quetiapine) is prescribed for the treatment of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in adults and children who are at least 10 years old.1 Risks associated with taking Seroquel XR may include an increased risk of developing diabetes and neuroleptic malignant syndrome.2
