Research Notes on Genetically Modified Embryos Stir Controversy
A research team at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York have for the first time genetically altered a human embryo. The study has been under attack from ethics groups stating that modifying human embryo genes will lead to creation of designer babies. The author of the study defends the research saying the work focuses only on stem cells.
