Research Notes on Genahist Dosage
Adults and children over the age of twelve who suffer from allergies or insomnia may be recommended a dosage of 25 mg to 50 mg of Genahist taken every four to six hours. When treating cough, adults and children over age 12 can take up to 25 mg every four hours. Children aged six to 12 are generally recommended a dose of 12.5 mg every four hours to treat coughing.1
Fast Facts:
- Genahist can be taken with or without food.2
- Liquid forms of Genahist should be measured with a special measuring spoon available from the pharmacy.2
- Genahist, an over the counter antihistamine that is a form of the generic medication diphenhydramine, should not be used for more than two weeks.2
