In 1881, Mahoning County residents decided they needed a hospital due to the increasing number of injuries resulting from industrial accidents. In 1883 the first patient came to the hospital by horse and buggy. In 1929 Northside Medical Center opened, and is still serving the people of the Youngstown, Ohio. "More than 120 years after its founding, Forum Health is still committed to providing the best health care services possible to residents of the Valley."1
