Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid. It needs to be obtained from the diet. Foods such as fish, soybeans, tofu and flaxseed are good sources for obtaining omega 3 fatty acids.1

- Vegetarians should be sure to include foods sources of omega 3 in their diet such as soybean, nuts, seeds and wheat germ.1
- One teaspoonful of flaxseed oil will supply the daily requirement of a common omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid.1
