Fondaparinux is a medication that is known for its anticoagulant properties, meaning it works to keep blood from clotting.1 It is given daily via subcutaneous injection to patients who may have issues with clotting problems. Fondaparinux is typically used to treat deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.1
