Flumadine is a brand name for the drug rimantadine. Flumadine may be recommended by your physician to prevent or treat type A influenza. Possible side effects of Flumadine include dizziness, insomnia, and nausea.1 For more information, see the rimantadine WisdomCard.

- Flumadine is taken by mouth for approximately five days in order to treat flu symptoms.2
- Follow your physicians recommendations regarding dosage. The amount you take will depend on the strength of the medication.3
- In order to effectively protect you from getting the flu virus, it is important that you take your medication at the same time each day. This will allow a steady supply of the medication in your blood, increasing your resistance.3
