Research Notes on Fish Oil Side Effects
Fish oil or omega-3 fatty acid products are classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) nutritional supplements. Side effects may include nausea, fishy odor breath, and an increase in blood sugar or bleeding tendencies. It may also decrease the absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K.
