Research Notes on Fioricet Addiction
Fioricet can be habit forming, when this drug is taken for an extended period of time, or at high doses. Fioricet is a combination drug of butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine. The use of barbiturates such as butalbital should be used only under your doctors supervision.1

- Fioricet is used to treat the pain of tension headaches.
- Symptoms of an overdose include vomiting, and convulsions, and tremors.2
- Side effects include headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, and appetite loss, and jitters.2
