Fetal trimethadione syndrome (FTS) is a set of congenital disorders resulting from exposure to the anti-seizure drug trimethadione. FTS is also referred to as German syndrome, paramethadione syndrome or tridione syndrome. Clinical manifestations in children may include physical and mental delay, such as growth retardation, microcephaly and delay of speech.
