Research Notes on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Symptoms


Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is medical condition caused by heavy alcohol consumption during pregnancy. The most common symptoms of FAS are mental retardation and facial abnormalities. Babies born with FAS often have small head circumference and low birth weight.
