Research Notes on Exercise Pyramid
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends at a minimum, 30 minutes of daily moderate physical activity. This amount increases to 60 minutes daily for weight loss.
Fast Facts:
- Children and teenagers should be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day.
- Being physically active is a key element in living a longer, healthier, happier life.
- Aerobic Exercise should be done 3-5 times per week for at least 20 minutes.
- Strength training should be done 2-3 times per week.
