Research Notes on Exercise For Seniors
As people grow older, they tend to become less active, promoting decrease in overall strength and physical activity. However, this can be avoided by regular exercise.1 No matter what age group, exercise has been proven to improve quality of life.2 Exercise can provide several health benefits for the elderly, such as improvements in blood pressure and neuro-cognitive function; better management of diabetes, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and lipid profile.3 As a rule, people must stay physically active as long as they can to promote better lifestyle with aging.1
