Research Notes on Erectile Dysfunction Surgical Treatment
One of the treatments that can be done for erectile dysfunction is surgical treatment. There are three procedures that can be performed: implanting a prosthetic device with the penis which causes an erection, reconstructing the arteries with the penis to increase blood flow which helps to facilitate an erection, and blocking of veins with the penis that allow blood to leave the penis, which helps to maintain an erection. With more medications for erectile dysfunctions that are being developed, surgical treatment is not performed as often.
