Research Notes on Epinephrine Autoinjector
An epinephrine autoinjector, most commonly under the brand names of Epipen and Twinject, is used to treat anaphylaxis, which is a life-threatening allergic reaction. Epinephrine is not given by mouth because digestive tract enzymes would destroy it.
