- There is an increased risk of seizures in anorexic and bulimic individuals may be caused by dehydration.1
- Phenytoin, which is an anti epileptic drug used to reduce seizures, has been occasionally prescribed for the treatment of bulimia.2
- Nine of 13 patients who used the anti convulsant medication topiramate reported long-term decreased incidence of binge eating episodes.3
