Research Notes on Edema
Edema is swelling caused by accumulation of fluid under the skin. This condition most commonly occurs in the legs and feet but can also occur in the hands or less often over the entire body. The two main types of edema are peripheral and pulmonary edema.

- Symptoms of edema are swelling, generalized bloating and water retention.
