Research Notes on Ebola Virus
Ebola is a type of virus normally classified as a viral hemorrhagic fever. A viral hemorrhagic fever usually describes a condition that presents with multiple organs being affected, as well as internal hemorrhaging. It is spread through blood or direct contact with an infected person. It can also be transmitted through direct contact with contaminated medical equipment, such as needles, or lab procedures. Fever, exhaustion, muscle aches and dizziness are initial symptoms of ebola. Shock, delerium, seizures and coma are progressive symptoms. Although there is no established treatment for ebola, the use of ribavirin, and anti viral drug is generally used.
