Unfortunately, not everyone who develops lung cancer will experience early symptoms. Early symptoms of lung cancer include constant chest pain, coughing up blood, fatigue, fever, weight loss, coughing that does not go away or gets worse, loss of appetite, breathing problems, and facial swelling.1 Consult your physician, if you smoke or have been exposed to secondhand smoke and notice any of these symptoms.2
Fast Facts:
- Other signs of lung cancer include: enlarged lymph nodes in the neck and upper chest, frequent pneumonia, and changes in the shape of your fingertips.1
- Nearly twenty five percent of all lung cancer patients are first diagnosed by CT scan or x-ray.3
- The normal survival rate for lung cancer patients is five years.4
