Research Notes on Dysphagia Causes
Dysphagia can be caused by many different health issues such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, esophageal tumor, or scleroderma. Anything that causes damage to the muscles or nerves used in swallowing or blocks the throat or esophagus may cause dysphagia.1
