Dr. Patch Adams was born Hunter Campbell Adams on May 28, 1945 in Washington, D.C. He is a medical doctor, a clown, and a social activist who believes that true health care should embody laughter, joy and creativity. Dr. Patch Adams and the Gesundheit Institute employ a model of health care that puts care at the center of health.
