Research Notes on Doxorubicin
Doxorubicin is a drug commonly used in chemotherapy treatment for various types of cancer. Those suffering from breast cancers, non-hodgkins lymphoma, and ovarian cancer routinely are given this antibiotic as a part of the chemo regimine. The drug carries the risk of major side effects so patients must be aware of the potential dangers associated with its use.

- sold under trade name of Adriamycin
- an antineoplastic antibiotic
- proven harmful to a fetus during pregnancy
- bright red in color, sometimes referred to as "Kool-Aid chemo"
- is used in the chemotherapy combination known as 'Red Devil'.
