Research Notes on Doxepin and Pregnancy
Doxepin should be used with caution during pregnancy. The newborn may show withdrawal symptoms such as agitation and impaired cardio-respiratory functions.1 If you are taking Doxipen and are planning to become pregnant, be sure to inform your doctor.

- Doxepin belongs to a group of antidepressant drugs known as tricyclic antidepressants; it is used in the treatment of depression and anxiety.2
- You should not breast feed while taking this medication.3
- It is important for both you and your baby to take proper care of depression during pregnancy.4
