Doug Flutie is a retired NFL quarterback who played with teams such as the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots. At the age of three, his son Doug Jr. was diagnosed with autism. Doug and his wife Laurie began raising funds for autism in 1998. In 2000, they established the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism to help raise funds for research, support and education for autism families. Since 1998, they have raised over 10 million dollars for autism. Doug also founded "Flutie Flakes" where the profits go directly towards autism.
