Don Shula started out as a professional football player. He has set several records as a player, an assistant coach and as a head coach. Apart from his accomplishments as a football pro, he is also known to support numerous charities including the Don Shula Foundation, which was established in his first wife's honor. The foundation aims to raise awareness and raise funds for research in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer. He is also a very popular motivational speaker who shares his secrets to success as a sportsman, a businessman and a motivational speaker and author. In 1995, he co-authored the book “Everyone's a Coach” with Ken Blanchard.
