Research Notes on Doctors Support Public Option
A survey of 2,130 U.S. doctors reveals that many doctors favor a public option to supplement private health care. Nearly 63% of doctors supported a mix of public and private insurance, 27% wanted private only, and 10% said they want only public options. Over 55% favored an expansion of the Medicare program so it covers people aged 55 and over, instead of starting at 65.1
