Research Notes on DisperMox
DisperMox is a brand name for the drug amoxicillin. It belongs to a group of antibiotics called penicillins.1 DisperMox is used to treat certain bacterial infection.2 For complete information, see the amoxicillin WisdomCard.
Fast Facts:
- Amoxicillin can be used in combination with other antibiotics, such as clarithromycin (Biaxin), to treat H. pylori infection.3
- DisperMox should only be used for treating proven or strongly suspected infection caused by bacteria to prevent drug-resistance.4
- Full prescribed amount of the medicine should be taken even if symptoms seem to have resolved before the treatment is finished.5
