Research Notes on Disaster Medicine
Disaster medicine is a new medical branch of specialization that deals with the management of care for survivors of a disaster and provides leadership throughout a disaster situation. It is also involved in the development and revision of public and private policies on disaster planning and recovery. Disaster medical specialists are board certified physicians by the American Board of Disaster Medicine.
