Research Notes on Dilantin for Multiple Sclerosis
Dilantin (phenytoin) is used to treat trigeminal neuralgia or other painful sensations (dysaethesia) in multiple sclerosis patients.1 Dilantin can remain in the body after medication has stopped so it is important to taper off medication gradually. Its main use is for epilepsy.
