Iovate, the manufacturer for the reported fat-burning over-the-counter medication Hydroxycut is recalling 14 versions the drug. Iovate's recall is in response to reports issued to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that the drug has been responsible for various serious medical conditions ranging from jaundice to liver damage and death. The FDA urges all consumers to immediately cease using the product.1

- Although the product claims to be made from all natural ingredients, consumers are reporting serious injuries from its use.2
- The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to the manufacturer on May 1, 2009.2
