Research Notes on Dichromacy
Dichromacy is a type of color blindness where a person can see only two hues, in contrast to more than 100 hues that a person with normal color vision can distinguish. There are three types of dichromacy: protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia. An individual whose occupation requires good color vision and has family members who are color blind may want to be tested for color blindness, since this condition is considered to be hereditary.
