Diazepam and Pregnancy


Diazepam is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Diazepam, also known as Diastat, Diastat AcuDial, Diastat Pediatric, Diazepam Intensol, Dizac, Valium, Valrelease, and Zetran, is in the class of drugs called benzodiazepines.1 It is used to treat anxiety disorders, relax muscles and help with alcohol withdrawal. It can also treat certain types of seizures.2
