The most common side effects associated with the use of diazepam include drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and headache. Most side effects are mild, and typically disappear within a short period of time. Should you experience stomach or abdominal pain, persistent nausea and vomiting, fever, or jaundice, contact your physician immediately.1
Not everyone who takes diazepam will experience side effects. If these side effects become especially bothersome, speak with your physician regarding a different dosing schedule or a change in medication.2
Any signs of allergic reaction should be reported immediately, and you may be advised to seek emergency medical attention.1
