Diabetic dermopathy is sometimes referred to as shin spots or pigmented dark patches. Raised lesions of diabetic dermopathy are most often seen on the lower legs of people with diabetes. This condition can be found in half of diabetics, but may also be found in non diabetics after an injury. Diabetic dermopathy is more common in men.1
