Research Notes on Diabetes and Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) also known as thioctic acid, is a powerful, natural antioxidant, which converts blood sugar into energy. ALA has been found helpful in treating diabetic neuropathies.1 Alpha lipoic acid can also help the body use glucose, which may have the potential in improving blood sugar control.2
