Research Notes on Diabetes Drugs Slows Puberty
Metformin, the diabetes drug, has been shown to slow down the onset of early puberty and reduce the risk of insulin resistance in girls. Girls who get their first Menstruation before the age of 12 have been linked to an increased risk of polycystic ovarian syndrome and breast cancer.
