Research Notes on Dexedrine Side Effects
As with all medications, there is a risk of unwanted side effects while taking Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine). For the most part, side effects are mild and require no medical treatment. Insomnia, dizziness, dry mouth, and diarrhea are among the most common side effects of Dexedrine. Occasionally, more rare side effects, that do require medical treatment, will occur. These side effects include, but are not limited to chest pain, hallucinations, and seizures.1

- Skin disease may occur from over use of Dexedrine.2
- Any signs of an allergic reaction should be reported to a health care provider immediately.3
- Irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure are possible serious side effects of Dexedrine.4
