Research Notes on Depression and Insomnia May Be Linked


Researchers have identified a genetic link between depression, anxiety, and insomnia. It is recommended that adolescents who suffer from depression or anxiety also be screened for insomnia. These results indicate that insomnia in children aged 8-16 is moderately likely to be inherited.1
