Depacon is a brand name for the drug sodium valproate. Depacon is an anticonvulsant used in the treatment of seizures, bipolar disorder, and migraines. For complete information, see the sodium valproate WisdomCard.
Fast Facts:
- Serious side effects may include hives, changes in vision, nausea, unusual swelling of the arms or legs, and yellowing of the eye or skin. If any of these are noticed inform your doctor right away.1
- Common side effects may include diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and indigestion.2
- Antiepilepic medications have been shown to increase the risks of fetal abnormalities.3
