Daunorubicin is a chemotherapy medication used mainly in the treatment of acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia. It works by stopping or slowing the growth of cancer cells in the body.1 Some side effects may include: diarrhea, skin irritation, loss of appetite, nausea, and heart failure 2
