Research Notes on Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute originated in 1947, when Sidney Farber, MD, founded Children's Cancer Research Foundation. Originally known as Sidney Farber Cancer Institute. In 1983, Through the support of the Charles A. Dana Foundation, Dana's name was added. Dana-Farber is mostly supported by The National Cancer Institute and The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, providing funds for cancer research and treatment.
