Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

Research Notes on Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

Cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS) is a rare condition characterized by recurring periods of vomiting in an otherwise normal child or adult. Vomiting can occur frequently, up to 10 or more times per hour. It is also known as abdominal migraine, because it may be caused by the same central nervous system mechanisms that cause migraine headaches.
