Research Notes on Cross Training
Cross training is the inclusion of different types of physical activity in an workout routine. It helps prevent or decrease risk of injuries; it motivates an individual and breaks the monotony of working out; it helps you burn more calories; and it allows for muscle and joint rest from repetitive stresses. Before starting a new exercise or fitness program, one should consult your doctor to determine which exercises are appropriate.
