Research Notes on Crohn's Disease Diagnosis

Crohn's disease is a condition in which there is chronic inflammation in the digestive tract, usually in the intestines. Diagnosing the disease can be particularly difficult as there is no single test that can give a definitive answer.1 Because the symptoms associated with Crohn's mimic other disorders, physicians must often rely on various tests and making a diagnosis through a process of elimination.2
