Research Notes on Crohn's Disease Symptoms
Crohn's disease is a chronic disease. Symptoms can come on gradually or appear suddenly. Severity of symptoms can vary from person to person. Typical symptoms are diarrhea, cramping abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. Other possible symptoms include fever, loss of appetite and the development of fistulas.1

- Children who have Crohn's disease may have delayed growth.1
- Flare ups are often followed by periods of remission from symptoms.1
