Research Notes on Crohn's Disease

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the digestive system. Onset usually begins as a young adult, though some late-onset cases are known. The disease is named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn. Crohn's and ulcerative colitis are the two main disease that belong to a larger group of illnesses known as inflammatory bowel disease. Crohn's commonly affects the end of the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine. However, it can involve any part of digestive tract.1
