Research Notes on Costochondritis
Costonchondritis is an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage connecting a rib. This condition causes localized chest pain that you can reproduce by pushing on the cartilage in the front of your ribcage. When the pain is accompanied by swelling, it is called Tietze syndrome.
